Andrew Brewer

Andrew is Director & Co-Founder of AstraVia 

I began my recruitment career in London back in 2000 with a niche Finance & Accountancy consultancy following my time at Kingston University. I then joined the built environment division of a large international consultancy, progressing through various management roles and taking responsibility for operations in South Wales and latterly the West Midlands.

Following my return to South Wales I established AstraVia Limited to offer a bespoke recruitment service to SME’s, National & International organisations with a presence in South & West Wales.

I take a keen interest in the diverse range of products that are researched, designed, engineered & manufactured throughout South & West Wales to the services, authorities and communities that are and can be affected by them. I am a passionate Welsh man that likes to see local businesses; enterprise and sports teams flourish and show ambition, just as much as I dream of success for the Welsh rugby team.


Victoria Jeffreys

Victoria is Director & Co-Founder of AstraVia 

I am law graduate who after working in the legal sector for a number of years, made a move into the professional sales industry, beginning my career in recruitment in 2005

My first step into recruitment was for a large international consultancy where I took every opportunity presented to me to expand my knowledge and skills within the recruitment business.

My area of expertise at this point in my career was the built environment and all that encompasses it. I ran successful construction desks supplying new build developments with labourers through to project managers – a hard hat and riggers was my staple uniform. From there I moved to maintenance and dealt primarily with public sector organisations.

I have managed several branches throughout South Wales & the South West within recruitment and developed my skills in people management whilst billing on my own desk – the ability to fee earn, manage people and run the day to day operations of a business lit the spark in me, and has led me to where I am today, a director of my own company – AstraVia.

I love to talk to people, and listen to people.  I enjoy finding solutions and troubleshooting issues. My biggest compliment since starting AstraVia is that I was easy to get along with and that I made people feel comfortable. This is key to getting the best out of the people I work with.

Changing jobs or starting a new one as well as exciting, can be daunting and people need to be aware of all the facts and learn to trust who they deal with. My clients need to trust me to understand their company and that I will find the right people for them


A Big Decision……but the right one.....Welcome to AstraVia!

Andrew and I are great friends and we have shared the same ambitions of where we saw our futures. The dream of our own company has become a reality.

We had listened over the years to what clients and candidates really wanted in a recruiter, what frustrated them, what they thought was good. The only way we could achieve what we wanted to achieve was to go out there and do it for ourselves. Trying to change companies philosophies and outlooks when they have been successful for many years is a challenge in itself, so try it for ourselves…why not!

We are both local to the Swansea area and we wanted to start a consultancy which really integrated us into the local business community. We make it our business to know what is happening in the local economy, how national and local issues affect our part of the world, constantly improving our knowledge to share with you.

To run a business with your heart as well as your head means a lot when you are dealing with people, and people are our business.
